Booking and Rental Terms

These terms form the agreement between you ("Renter") and Luxury Rental NYC ("Booking Service") when you reserve a vehicle through this site. The vehicle itself is owned, insured, and supplied by an independent licensed rental operator ("Vehicle Operator"), whose identity is disclosed in your booking confirmation. By checking the acceptance box and completing payment, you agree to these terms electronically, which has the same force as a handwritten signature.

1. Roles and contract structure

The Booking Service markets rentals, verifies driver eligibility, coordinates payment, and arranges delivery and concierge support. The Vehicle Operator supplies the vehicle and will present its own rental and condition documents at handover, which you sign as the primary driver; a Luxury Rental NYC representative may be added to that contract as an additional driver so that both parties are covered under the Operator's requirements. The Operator's documents govern the operation of the vehicle; if they conflict with these terms regarding the vehicle itself, the Operator's terms control.

2. Driver eligibility and insurance verification

The primary driver must meet the minimum age shown for the selected vehicle (never under 25), hold a valid unexpired driver's license, and carry current full-coverage auto insurance that extends to vehicles the driver rents or borrows. Clear images of the license (front and back) and proof of insurance must be uploaded before delivery. You authorize the Booking Service to contact your insurance carrier directly to verify that your coverage is active and extends to the rental vehicle; delivery will not occur until verification is complete. Only verified drivers may operate the vehicle.

3. Payment and pricing

The rental price is the daily rate multiplied by rental days, plus applicable taxes, and includes the Booking Service's fee. Payment is processed securely through Stripe on the Vehicle Operator's merchant account, with the Booking Service's fee separated automatically; your card statement will reference LRNYC. A refundable security deposit, shown before checkout, is collected with payment.

4. Deposit, damage, tolls, tickets, and fuel

The vehicle is delivered in documented condition and must be returned in the same condition, less normal wear. The Vehicle Operator inspects at handover and at return. Costs of damage, excessive wear, smoking, unpaid tolls, violations, or missing fuel documented by the Vehicle Operator may be deducted from the deposit, with an itemized statement provided to you before deduction; amounts beyond the deposit remain your responsibility to the extent permitted by law. Absent a documented claim, the deposit is refunded in full to the original payment method within 5 business days after return.

5. Availability and substitution

Exotic vehicles are frequently one-of-one in an operator's fleet. If the reserved vehicle becomes unavailable before delivery due to damage, mechanical issue, or circumstances outside the Booking Service's control, we will notify you promptly and offer, at your choice: (a) a comparable or superior vehicle of the same class at no additional cost, or (b) a full refund of everything paid, including the deposit. This is the exclusive remedy for pre-delivery unavailability.

6. Cancellations and no-shows

Cancel 7 or more days before delivery: full refund including deposit. Cancel less than 7 days before delivery: deposit plus 50% of the rental price refunded. No-show at delivery: deposit refunded, rental price retained. To cancel, call (203) 947-7991 with your booking reference.

7. Prohibited uses

No racing, track use, towing, off-road use, driving under the influence, use by unverified drivers, or leaving the United States. Prohibited use voids deposit protections and makes the Renter responsible for resulting loss.

8. Liability

The Booking Service arranges rentals and is not the owner or operator of the vehicle. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Booking Service's aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the booking at issue. Nothing herein limits any party's liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything that cannot be limited under New York law.

9. Records and electronic signature

Your acceptance is recorded with your name, date, time, and network address, and retained with your booking. You consent to transact electronically under the federal E-SIGN Act and NY State Technology Law.

10. Governing law

New York law governs, with venue in New York County, NY.
